MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL WILKES

It has been an amazing start to the school year. Everyone, including support staff, teachers, administrators, students, and parents, has been working hard to prepare for a great first week of school.

A special thank you goes out to our students for their outstanding cooperation with our new cell phone policy. We saw only a handful of phones collected. Transitions, classes, and lunch periods have all run smoothly, and your support at home has played a vital role in that success.

I also want to encourage all students to continue wearing their ID badges each day. This small action helps ensure a safe and efficient campus for everyone.

Lastly, thank you for your continued patience with traffic and parking this week as we proudly host the Tex Fest Volleyball Tournament. We’re thrilled to welcome teams from across the region and appreciate your flexibility and understanding during this busy time.

Do you love to write, draw, take photos, or share big ideas? The WHS Press Club is looking for creative and dedicated students to help bring our high school newspaper to life! We have positions for writers, photographers, cartoonists, editors, graphic designers, advertising reps, and sales team members to help fund the paper.
