Kobe

Meet Kobe. He has been learning gymnastics for the past 4 years and has been diving for a year and a half. Training takes time and commitment. Kobe spends about 11 hours a week practicing gymnastics and 4 hours a week practicing diving!

He has won multiple medals in gymnastics competitions around the North Island on different apparatus (equipment) and as a team. He won a silver medal for the highest overall individual

In Diving, Kobe is the N.Z. champion, Auckland champion and the North Island champion!

Kobe's goals include winning this years nationals for gymnastics. In diving, Kobe dreams of becoming the Australian age groups champion in 2019. He also wants to win the Open men's championship in 1 meter, 3 meter and 5 meter.

Kobe loves the high horizontal bar, doing giant swings at gymnastics and facing his fears in diving, it’s scary! The hardest parts are developing the strength required, training hard and being the youngest in the group.

In 2019 Kobe will compete in the National Gymnastics Championships in Auckland. He hopes also to travel to the North Island Championships held in Wellington for diving and the Australian Age Group Championships in Perth.

That's amazing Kobe! We wish you all the best for your future in Gymnastics and Diving!
