Meet Eden who has a passion for jazz, ballet and lyrical contemporary dance. She has been dancing for the past 7 years and can practice for more than 5 hours a week on average.
Eden has already had many exciting highlights in her time dancing, including playing the lead role of Lucy in the 2018 dance school show, Narnia at Centre Stage Theatre. She loved performing her jazz solo at this years school Gala. You may have seen her wonderful dancing there! Eden has sat both jazz and ballet exams up to ISTD Grade 3, achieving Distinctions!
Eden dreams of one day attending a professional dance school and even owning her own dance school one day. What an amazing dream to have!
Eden dances because it makes her feel happy. When she is sad she just dances and everything feels better again! The hardest part of dancing for Eden is that she has to push herself in training even when she doesn't feel like it.
This year, Eden plans to compete either in solos or in the Northern School of Performing Arts troupes at least once a month. At the end of May she is going to Christchurch to compete in the NZAMD (NZ Association of Modern dance) competition with both the jazz and lyrical troupes she is part of.
Well done for working hard towards your dream Eden. We love watching you dance!
