K & T Florals Group 1

Alba, Indy and Sara were so warmly welcomed into K & T Florals in Manly Village where Trudy and Katie introduced them to their store and the equipment they use to help them do their job. The children learned all about where their flowers come from (some from as far away as Columbia!) and got to smell all the smells the different types of flowers make. They were beautiful.

We learned about greenery and how to build a bouquet around greenery to create a full look. Using wire, we learned how to make floppy flowers stand up in the bunch. The children then tried out some arranging of their own using these techniques.

Tiny Sunflowers

The children learned how to tie the flowers, trim the stems, add water to the bottom of their bouquet and to wrap it in special fabric to finish it off, then it was into a gift bag, on with a ribbon and sticker an ready to present to a lucky person! Thank you to Katie and Trudy at K&T Florals for the amazing experience!

Beautiful bouquets from our young florists!
