Phases of Completion
Phase 1 - Research an Architect
Students will research a notable architect which inspires them in some way. Student will be able to choose a second architect if they would like. Research will be completed and a PowerPoint presentation will be created
Create a PowerPoint (digital presentation)
Include background information of the primary architect along with secondary if appropriate.
Give an overview of the style of the architect
Include pictures of work and bullet points describing work
Include education and awards earned
Identify which architect influenced this architect (mentor or style)
Identify how you will incorporate this style into your HBRA house
Phase 2 - Kitchen Design Packet
As part of the Architect’s Influence project students will be required to complete a kitchen design which will include all cabinetry, appliances, elevations, plan and estimated cost. Students will put together working drawings for their kitchen designs. Packet will be printed on A size paper.
Packet to include the following drawings:
Perspective (cover sheet)
Plan view
Elevations
Cabinet Schedule
Electrical Plan
Once plan is finalized, students will run their electrical. Students will put together working drawings for their kitchen designs. Packet will be printed on A size paper - Landscape format.
Real Estate Ad
Phase 3 - Final Presentation
Review with the group where you began, your influences, etc. (use from first presentation)
Show how you incorporated / how you were influenced by your architect.
Pictures of YOUR floor plan and of house design, both interior and exterior to be able to show how you were influenced by your architect.
Place your real estate ad at the end of the show.
