Green Building in Today's Housing Market
Students will research three ways that you will incorporate green technology into your house design.
Students will create a brief 2-5 minute PowerPoint presentation explaining one of the three ways they have selected to go green. Be creative and unique when finalizing your decisions. Each student will write a one page research paper about the 3 ways you have chosen to go green.
The PowerPoint and papers should include the following information:
1. What did you learn about green architecture?
2. A detailed description of three green concepts you will incorporate into your house design.
3. What are the advantages/disadvantages of these green concepts you have chosen?
4. What is the cost of each green technology and how much money it can save you long term?
5. Are these concepts reasonable for our New England elements (weather)?
6. How did your project/green unit change your outlook on green building (your carbon footprint, videos we watched, class discussion about green products)?
7. How will you use green concepts in the future?
