Students who elect Architecture 2 will produce more refined and comprehensive designs, three-dimensional presentation models, and more sophisticated printed output and digital simulations.

Course Goals
- Build upon Architectural Engineering 1
- Research and present information on Green Building in accordance to the National Association of Home Builders(NAHB) Green House Building Guidelines.(LEED)
- Research Architects and incorporate their style into student's own design.
- Present information from text and research in a clear, concise and appropriate manner.
- Create different plans including, floor plan, foundation/basement plan, electrical plan, plot plan and elevation drawings.
- Identify and discuss materials used in house construction and draw a typical wall section.
- Identify required interior systems of buildings or other structures.
- heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, structural and plumbing systems
- Identify CT building codes.
- Identify International Residential Codes
- Using Chief Architect, an architectural drafting software, build their designs 3-Create working drawings.
- Construct a ¼ scale model of their house design.
- Demonstrate ability to take responsibility for their own actions

Assessment
- Each Student will construct their design on the computer using the Chief Architect software.
- Each student will complete a house design for a State Competition
- Students will have book work and chapter reviews.
- Projects/Test/Quizzes/Professionalism will be used to evaluate students.
