Standard Sourcing Procedure - Target

1. Define product specifications / requirements , benchmark against competitors by doing research and analysis on Amazon /or other platforms

2. Make sure we get approval from Target to sell the product in correct category

3. Start running a preliminary sourcing to gather a list of supplier information & quotation for the target items

4. Run P&L

   • Target P&L - to check the actual margin:

   • Amazon P&L - as a quick sense check comparing to the major competitor

5. If P&L works, we can go ahead to order samples

   • Prefer to pay sample via Alibaba Trade assurance (trackable, refundable)

   • or we can also pay via PayPal (easy transaction)

6. Test samples

   • Make sure to record what you have done on testing, and clearly stated the pros & cons.

   • Most importantly, we have to make a decision on whether we would like to proceed with this samples

7. If the sample passed the testing, please go ahead for ordering process

   • Create PO to factory (setting up new SKU, EAN, etc.)

   • Get a die cut / relevant artwork from the factory, so we can start working on packaging & Manual.
