All video content related to Made for Google, Made for Fitbit, Made for Pixel, and other 'Made for...' workstreams requires personal sign-off from the company director, Christopher.
This protocol applies to uploads on platforms like YouTube, Amazon, our websites, and others.
Post-Approval Video Handling:
After receiving Chris' sign-off, ensure videos remain private until after the go-live date of the accessories.
Chain of Events:

Planned to add an installation video to the user manual.
Used an existing Fitbit model for the video demonstration.
Uploaded the video to YouTube and linked it via QR code in the user manual.
The video, set as public on YouTube, inadvertently revealed the code names of two new Fitbit watches.
9to5google noticed the video and included it in their article.
Lessons Learned:
All YouTube video uploads must receive approval from our marketing manager.
"Made for ..." videos require approval from the Director.
Store videos with confidential/sensitive information in a Google Drive folder, not on YouTube.
Only the product manager and marketing manager will have access to these videos.
User manuals will link to a Google Drive folder, which will only be accessible after the product launch.
Handle confidential information like CAD drawings or non-public customer data with extra caution. Seek clarification from senior management in cases of uncertainty.
