• Click “Generate a Report” for Returns and select the date range.

• The date range must be within the 45 to 75 Day window that we can submit disputes.

• You can select from 2.5 months prior up to 1 month prior to the date you generate the report.

• It is better to dispute everything, since the Target support will tell us which returns are eligible or not.

First, sort the returns by date.

Second, remove and filter the returns which are "Write-Off" financial deposition. No need to dispute "Write-Off" returns.

Third, remove and filter the returns which have a tracking number in "Tracking/Pro #" column. We only need to dispute returns with no tracking number.

Finally, make sure that all returns are sorted by date with: Financial Deposition of “Charge to Vendor” and No return tracking number.

The template is on the "Return Dispute Template" tab. Please copy the format and naming convention of the columns, as discussed below, into a separate excel sheet. We need to upload this sheet to the Target portal in the next step.

        • Make sure to paste as “Text”. The number of digits is too long to store the value as a number. Please use “Text” formatting.

    • Quantity

      • • Copy from the Target returns report

Go to the Target Portal: https://plus.target.com

Click the "Open Cases" page on the left side

Click "Add Case"

Input "Returns - Disputes" into the case type

Upload the completed excel file (.xlsx) into the case

Fill in the subject and description accordingly

Sometimes you cannot upload the .xlsx file into the case. Please try to use another browser or laptop.

If it still does not work, please ask another person to help you upload and create the case.

It is better to dispute as many returns as you can, since Target will tell us if it is eligible or not. There is no penalty for trying.

After submitting the dispute, Target will email you whether the disputes are approved or not. You should get this email in a few days.

Please input or mark which returns have been approved or not into the Google sheets in order to keep track.

If the returns are not eligible yet, we can dispute them in the next Returns Dispute process.

We should do this returns dispute process every 3 weeks, so that we can catch the 45-75 Day window for disputing returns.
