Employees who have been employed for 3 months and who have passed the probationary period since the date of joining the Company can apply for paid annual leave (hereinafter referred to as "annual leave"). Days of paid annual leave for employees are determined according to the signed contract.
Days of annual leave are per calendar year, from 1st January to 31st December.
When employees join the company, they will receive annual leave based on the service portion of their first year. If an employee's service time is less than 12 months in a calendar year, his or her annual leave time is calculated based on the amount of time from his or her hiring date until the end of the year. After the 1st of January of the next year, he or she can enjoy his or her full days of annual leave.
1. For 1-2 days Annual Leave:

Annual leave compensation in the event of termination of contract:
If a terminated employee has not been an employee of the company for a minimum of months before termination, according to the relevant laws and regulations, no annual leave or compensation for annual leave shall be awarded.
If a terminated employee has been an employee of the company for a minimum of 3 months before termination, but has not used his or her allotted annual leave before termination, the Company shall pay the employee compensation for the unused annual leave. The formula for determining the compensation is:
Days of annual leave allotted: overall days of annual leave of the year*days of employment/365 days
For Sick Leave application, please follow guidelines as below:
Notify Your Supervisor: Inform your immediate supervisor before the work day begin about your absence.

Medical Certificate: For all sick leave, submit an authorized medical certificate to HR via email within 3 days of returning.
When employees have accumulated sufficient number of paid sick leave, the sick leave taken is not less than four consecutive days and sick leave is supported by an appropriate medical certificate, employees are entitled to paid sick leave.
Under the Employment Ordinance, employees are entitled to accumulate paid sick leave. Paid sick leave are accumulated at the rate of two paid sick leave for each completed month of the employees’ employment during the first 12 month, and four paid sick leave for each completed month of employment thereafter. Paid sick leave shall not exceed 120 days at any one time throughout the whole employment period
If you need to work from home under special circumstances - please reach out to the management for approval. Few recommendations as follow
If you are sick, please apply it as sick leave properly. We don't expect you to work on a sick day.
If you are traveling, it would be nice for you to keep catching up on work - but again we encourage you to enjoy your full holiday.
If you travel to your hometown, etc. for a longer period of time and you really plan to work abroad - please try to plan your schedule for work "continuously", i.e. AL for a week for traveling, then WFH for 4 days. It would be easier for your colleagues to understand your schedule.
WFH days should never be more than AL days throughout the travellng period.
