Richmond Cluster (22)

Thursday 15 May, 2008 - 11:42

Did a complete reinstallation of Oracle 10.2.0.0 Clusterware on both richmond1 and richmond2.

I made at least one (1) mistake: set the owner of /u00 to oracle instead of root.

Had to run vipca after root.sh on richmond2 because of the problem described in Richmond Cluster (17) . Ran vipca to fix the problem.

The post-installation verification test failed with:

Checking data integrity of OCR...

ERROR:

OCR integrity results are inconsistent amongst the nodes.

OCR integrity found invalid for nodes: richmond2

OCR integrity found valid for nodes: richmond1

OCR integrity check failed.

Status of Oracle Cluster Registry is as follows :

Version : 2

Total space (kbytes) : 264952

Used space (kbytes) : 1988

Available space (kbytes) : 262964

ID : 807040926

Device/File Name : /dev/raw/raw1

Device/File integrity check failed

n Device/File Name : /dev/raw/raw16

But the crs resources seem to function correctly on richmond2. richmond1 reports no problems with the ocr. ocrconfig -repair ocr did not fix the problem on richmond2.
