Machine Translation

Today #semester_3 students have done an activity on #machine_translation, concerning Rabindranath Tagore's The Home and The World (Indian Writing In English).

In this activity, students have translated self-written poetry, excerpts, or a few lines in Bengali through Google translation (Machine translation). To check whether the translation is in a proper format or not, we invited (virtually -Google meet) Budhiditya Das as an expert.

When I was planning for this activity, I thought students would deny working on such language that is alien to them. They know nothing about Bengali, but I appreciate them as all the students have tried this.

I am grateful to #Budhiditya_Das for meticulously observing students' work and rectifying it. Special thanks to Nilay Rathod for managing the things.
