Email Update 1:
Dear participants of eFDP-MKBU,
Thank you for the registration.

Keep watch on this eFDP website. Read 'Schedule' and other pages under eFDP-MKBU.
Let me share a few important things about eFDP-MKBU:
1. This online FDP is of very elementary level. The target participants are those teachers who are novice in the use of technology for teaching. Thus, if you are a good user of technology, you may not find this useful.
2. The objective of this eFDP is to make teachers ready for remote online teaching. Thus, we have selected very simple digital platforms like Google Meet and Google Classroom.
3. We do not plan to burden the FDP participants with a lot of web tools. Our objectives are simple and to the point - Basic tools to teach online, share content, simple assessment and video resources.
4. Auto-attendance will be marked in all sessions, at the regular intervals of 30 minutes.
5. If participants will miss the session due to technical difficulties or power / internet failure, the recording will be uploaded for later viewing.
6. All participants shall attend sessions in Google Meet only. There are no Live Streams of any session.You shall take an early entry in the class.
7. Please read 'Evaluation of Participants' without failure on the eFDP website.
8. For further details, you can write an email or put a whatsapp message.
See you all on 15th June 2020, 5 pm for curtain raiser and introductory session of 30 minutes. The official inauguration will be on 16th June, 10 am.

All participants of eFDP-MKBU,
(For many of you who registered today, this is the first update. Visit this website for updated - https://sites.google.com/view/webinar-eng-mkbu > Timings in the schedule will be updated)
We are thankful to all teachers for their overwhelming response to this online faculty development programme. We have received registrations of over 450 teachers.
As it is difficult to manage all in one slot, we have decided to have two slots i.e. the morning one and the afternoon one.
The morning slot will be at usual time i.e. 10 to 12.
The afternoon slot will be from 2.30 to 4.30.
We offer first choice to the participants to select the slot which is convenient to them.
How to select a slot?
Well, you might have received an auto-generated email as soon as you submitted a registration form. Check Spam Folder if it is not in your inbox.
Open that email. CLICK on EDIT > CLick NEXT, NEXT to come on the last page. Just above 'SUBMIT' you will find SLOT SELECTION. Select the slot and Submit.
We will try our best to accommodate you in the slot selected by you. In case, we have no choice, we hope you will accommodate yourself as per our scheduling.
You will get an email by tomorrow morning with details about your slot and your group.

(This is a very long email - sorry for that - but each and every word is important)
Dear participants of eFDP-MKBU,
Thank you for your interest in eFDP organised by Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University.
1. Bookmark this eFDP site for all updates: www.dilipbarad.com/webinar (Keep visiting this site for all necessary information)
2. The participants are divided in two slots. Please see attached PDF documents.
3. We have made groups of 20 participants. You shall communicate among your group members. Whenever practical activities are given, you shall work remotely with your group members, The email addresses of the group members are given in attached PDF documents.
4. Today (15 June), Morning Slot participants shall join Google Meet at 5 pm for 30 minutes. The Evening Slot participants shall join at 5.30 pm. The roadmap of eFDP will be discussed in this meeting. If you miss to join owing to some technical issues, please contact your group member and collect all necessary information.
5. Important Instructions
1. If you want to work in Gujarati or Hindi language, please check the language settings in your devices. Google Apps support. We will not be able to give technical support regarding your mobile or laptop/PC.
2. Before you join any web-conferencing or online sessions, make it a habit to put the mic and camera off. Habit formation helps in the longer run.
3. You shall keep your camera on. However, if you are not listening to the presenter or eating or talking with others, please turn your camera off. Whenever you want to speak, turn your camera on.
4. Use ‘Chrome’ browser in mobile as well as in laptop/pc.
5. Use Gmail Email id. This is mandatory for this eFDP as we are going to work on Google Education Apps.
6. Do not send personal emails or messages to other participants. The concerned participant may complain under cyber laws. Read more about Indian Cyber Laws - https://meity.gov.in/content/cyber-laws
7. Maintain online etiquettes. Read this to understand it - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etiquette_in_technology
8. When you are on camera in an online meeting or teaching, you shall be in formal dress / official dress / properly dressed.
9. All technical issues shall be solved by you. We will not be able to provide assistance in it.
10. If any of the instructions mentioned in this email is not convenient, the participant has a choice of not leave it any time. We will help you even after the eFDP in remote online teaching.
There are many participants who are very good practitioners of technology in the classroom. We request you to help other participants by posting in ‘Comment’. Those who have queries shall post in comment and those who know the answer shall reply.
