On this 5th September, amidst Corona Virus Pandemic 'Lockdown' in educational institutes, India celebrates National Teachers Day. The Department of English, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University (Gujarat) virtually celebrates the Teacher's Day. The students of the Department prepared their teaching videos which are uploaded on this YouTube Channel. All the videos are embedded here under. It was quite a unique experience to celebrate first of its kind 'Virtual Teachers' Day'.

Those who invented the method of celebrating Teacher's Day by asking students to 'play-the-role-of-teacher-for-a-day'  might have thought to make students 'experience' to be a teacher and as a result them may develop 'empathy' for their teachers.

If so, in this time of corona-pandemic-lockdown of education institute, all teachers are taking lots of pains in preparing online lesson, video recordings, editing, facing camera, remote teaching, online tests, eCertificates . . . and whatnot?

It is equally important for students to 'experience' these hard tasks which teachers are doing, probably first time, so as to empathize with them in this hard time.

The teachers of this Virtual Teacher's Day were asked to:

1. Prepare Presentation slides or road-map of short lesson

2. Shoot a Video

3. Edit a video

4. Prepare an online test based on their video lesson

5. Prepare Auto-generated result for those who appear in the online test

6. Auto-generate certificate with score to those who watch the video lesson and appear in the online test.

7. The videos were 'premiered' on YouTube and live streamed on Facebook.

8. Publish all these in one blog-post (You can view the blog, the video lesson and appear in the online test by clicking on the name of the students in the below given list)
