Academic Writing Workshop

Today's Academic Workshop began with Introduction to Academic Writing by Yesha Bhatt Ma'am. She simplified a way of writing essay type long answers by introducing the #ideal_structure of writing an answer.

Idea Structure-

Question,

Introduction (of author, text and character chart)

Main answer (3 paragraph/ page + infographics + quotes)

Conclusion (6-7 lines)

In addition, having a set of text terminologies, conceptual clarity, avoiding first person writing, using linguistic markers and having a structured answer. Also highlighted the common errors like grammatical errors, highlighting, repetition and Gibberish, un- English language.

Dilip Barad sir guided us to write a #qualitative_answer in an #artistic_way along with to do #rough_work for making a trajectory of answer. He gave us examples of linguistic markers and pointed on writing the factual details correctly and to avoid a dull manner of writing answers.

Academic Workshop is based on the analysis of our internal exam's answer sheets. With the photos of the answer sheet out both the faculties showed us our unconscious errors and also gave us examples of good answers.

At the end, we tried our #new #digital_board where we were asked to write 2- 3 words which we would improve in our #university_exams.
