Character Settings

All settings that help define how Rig Components and Space Switching should apply.

Overdrivers - No Parent Space - By default OverDrivers include their own parent space as one of the space options on creation so that animation can easily switch between the chosen space and original space. For Rig building this is often not desired when we need child rig components to control their parents, such as a reverse foot controlling the IK leg. Turn this on to remove the parent space being included in the OverDriver.

Remove Existing - When rigging is applied through Regions this setting determines whether or not existing rigging should be removed, or if we should build a layered Rig Component.

  • When Checked all rigging that is effecting the region to be rigged will be baked down to the skeleton so that the new Rig Component can control the joints.

  • When Un-Checked build the Rig Component along side of the existing rigging. Allowing multiple components to control the same region with the ability to key swaps between them, such as an IK/FK arm.

IKs - World Oriented - Whether or not IK's should build oriented to the world, or oriented to the joint they are built from.

  • When Checked IK controls will be oriented to the world.

  • When Un-Checked IK controls will be oriented to the joint that they were created from.
