Artwork Description: Precarious Spaces is a sculpture that explores the relationship between objects and the spaces created from those relationships. The piece is part of a larger project that investigates unconventional ways of living and how historically gendered spaces might be rearranged in a thought provoking way, questioning our current perspectives of contemporary gendered spaces, or the lack thereof.

Artists's bio: Stephanie Juarez-Beaulieu is an undergraduate student in her third year of studies in Urban Studies at the University of Calgary. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Stephanie uses her expertise in Environmental Design to inform her art and studies in architectural studies.
