Battle
On April 18, Russian soldiers stormed Kreminna, where Serhiy Haidai, the governor of the Luhansk Oblast, stated that street brawls had broken out and that there was no way to escape. Tanks and other equipment also entered where people were surrounded by Russian troops. [6] Russian armies surrounded the city and launched an all-out assault. Fighting persisted all night long, with heavy artillery fire being fired into the streets. Later, on April 19, Russian forces took control of the city hall.
