Converting time

We explored different methods to convert time.

This promoted some really valuable discussion and reinforced the use of the associative and distributive laws.

The children were able to come up with different methods and explain which was most efficient and why.

Not all the children in the class needed this input, so I set those children off on some converting time word problems which you can see below and download:

The less able children worked with the TA on a table outside the classroom doing practical time games and using clocks.
