This is an idea I have been thinking about for a few months to help with children's understanding of fractions and relating this to each times table. I have coloured them to show the times tables that link together (e.g. 2, 4, 8 are all shades of red.)

The idea is that children can see that (for instance with 2x table) that 1/4 of 24 is 6, 3/4 of 24 is 18 and so on.
