Staff meetings

For a staff meeting this week, I wrote up all the questions in the KS1 and KS2 maths SATs papers that linked to multiplication and division. I then asked staff to categorise them under the curriculum objectives. This promoted some great discussion, as well as being a more interesting way of analysing the papers and exposing all teachers to the expectations.

It came up in the discussion how your choice of which category to put the question in could depend on the method you use to work it out.

I then got all staff members to fill in a table for their year group next to each category saying which skills they were responsible for teaching.
