You know when you get a package and you know just by looking. The insides are messed up.
Both Cherry trees were broken in half
Was thinking about trying to save the top's bur know how long they were broken.
I added 180oz of Pear Moss to the mix.
The problem I say before that Cherry trees were the only trees I have problems with. I think it's because of air. Well we shoul see in about three months.
Added a one inch mulch coving. The into the pot it goes. These are planted in a cold room bubbling with air. It won't freeze in that room but it will get cold. Their calling for it to get down to the single numbers this week.
One of two rosed I'm over Wintering. This is a Red one. Grow Anaerobic
This is the second with a Comice pear in front. Grown Anaerobic
A English Walnut tree. I'm hoping this takes off this year. Grown Anaerobic
Here's a picture of the root structure before it went into the insert.
Interesting how as soon as the New Year is over the feeling of growing something starts to naw at you like a mouse nibbing on Spring. These two pictures are of a root system grown Anaerobically. Those roots were grown over 3yrsor more. Look at how woody those roots like They can with stand being dried out. An they dehydrate easy after being dried out. These roots make it thru the Winter sitting is a bucket of water. Frozen. There are several pictures thru this site of Anaerobic roots systems of all types of plants. Mostly Anaerobic. The darker color is because of the interactions of the Fauna nd roots. These roots aren’t taking in air. That’s another part. These take in nutrients. It’s in the insert that the mix of air moisture and nutrient happen. Notice I said the those three things were separate. Which is why it works..
Red Haven Peach
MOORPARK APRICOT
Haven't tried Apricots before. This root structure in different from others because how the form in the 2 level tap roots.
Transplanted the 3xPlum to a 5gtal insert. All three are sitting in the front window. The window faces West with a over hang. There’s buildings across the way so sun light is blocked right now. But it get’s some bright light for about 3hrs. The temp in the unheated space is about 40 - 45deg.
This is the first time I’m planting trees during the Winter. While the places their in are unheated but not freezing.
The first stem buds are growing from the Rainer cherry tree I got last month. 5 weeks. These are the two I switched things up by growing aerobically 2 Cherry tree that way. I’m ordering 2 more cherries and 4 wine grapes.
