When I unpacked this it seems to be a 5 way grafted pear tree.
The unbare root system of the 5 way grafted Pear tree.
Small Raspberry
The three in a pot Hibiscus cuttings. It's about a month since the transfer.
This is a 20gal Cloth bag ready for a Cherry tree
Made a dirt mix for the Cherry trees I ordered. I have enough to make the 40gal I need for the 2-20gal fabric pots. The mix is half bag potting mix. The mix was used in a Flood & Drain system. Which means it’s filed with left over nutrients. That’s okay. Mixing with the other material weakening that mix. 10galput down in two layers. 5gal Rice hulls, Rice hulls act like one sided velcro in the mix. 5gal Peat moss, Peat is a two sided sword. It’s good for holding moisture when wet but steals it from the plant when dry. But using it anyway. Half bag compose, feed for the other little things this system produces. 2gal Perlite, Perlite likes water. Roots learn this and attach to them.
Remember what I said before about Goji berry's being weed. There's a before and this is after about a month.
Something I don't explain well is about alternatves to what you mix with. I call them "fillers". I use Styrofoam and Rice hulls for that. when I'm running out of mixes I use something else. Rice hulls provide nutrients over time with the hairs splitting off. Good at holding on to water. There's 5gal or a 1/4 of the mix. It takes a long time to break down. The Styrofoam gives a plant root structure to press and grow around. The mix has system mix to grow thru.
The weeds don't care about your containers. This is a three years over growth.
The vine shows green so it's still alive
