My name is Nafisah Harley and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey, where I help individuals heal from past traumas, learn coping skills to manage daily stress, and maintain a sense of balance in their lives. My goal is to amplify the voice of my clients and what they’ve experienced, allowing you to feel heard and cared for. Upon receiving my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, I adopted a holistic, person-centered approach grounded in mindfulness and meditation. I also provide psychoeducation through numerous programs and panels, working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly in the Black community and other communities of color. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach, spending time with family, and candle-making!
I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to work with individuals of all backgrounds, as I am empathetic, passionate, and dedicated to my work. I want every individual to know that you are invaluable, you are worthy, and you were created for a reason, even if you don’t know what that reason is just yet. I believe that the journey to healing is a process that helps unearth our potential and further develops the gift within to be a better version of our true self. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma, I am here to help support and guide you through that process.
