Joe loves people and feels called to help them find peace and purpose in their lives. Toward this end, he has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including a jail, a university, a psychiatric hospital, and a youth shelter. Even if you've never found yourself in one of those places, Joe understands that the challenges of life are real and serious. Every person and situation are unique, so Joe considers it vital to listen and make sure he understands what brings you to therapy and what you're hoping to get out of it. Joe's therapeutic "toolbox" combines elements of many different approaches (CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, etc.), but the strategies we use will depend on your goals and needs.
Joe has helped all kinds of people facing all kinds of challenges--he can help you too.
Joe is a licensed social worker. He remains an adjunct faculty member at Stockton University, where he obtained two bachelor degrees (Philosophy/Religion & Psychology) and a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW.)
