Starting therapy can be scary, which makes having a strong therapeutic relationship all the more important. For me, the most important part of counseling is the therapeutic relationship. I work hard to create a safe space for my clients to feel heard, accepted, and valued. I understand that each client is an individual and has individual needs. My approach to therapy is personal and client-centered; utilizing an "eclectic" approach, we will explore your needs and set goals accordingly.
I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey (LAC# 37AC00588300) I have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, children, couples, and those with Anxiety, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, and more. I work with a variety of clients, including, but not limited to, those who identify within the LGBTQ+ and/or fall under the transgender umbrella. I work with Children three and older, Adolescents, and Adults.
I currently work using a client-centered approach, with frameworks in Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, and feminist theory. With children, I utilize play-therapy approaches. With Adolescents and Adults, I utilize talk therapy with creative approaches tailored to each client. I have interest in obtaining a play therapy certification in the future as well as an Internal Family Systems certification.
