The activities of the laboratory involve diagnosis of tuberculosis and mycobacteriosis (we receive clinical samples and mycobacteria strains from all over the country), development and evaluation of new techniques for the diagnosis of tuberculosis, molecular typing of M. tuberculosis, external quality assurance, research and development, training of health professionals of various backgrounds, advisory service for diagnostic laboratories and physicians, and development of public health policies.Structure and organization
