このアルバムはイギリスのホームレスに対するチャリティとして作られたようだ。ほとんどのグループはSplash Clubでのライブが収録されているが、60ft Dollsは95年初頭に発売されたシングル曲の演奏トラックを ベースに、サビの部分のコーラスを強調したり、ギター・ソロがシンプルになっていたり、と異なるミックスを収録。イントロ部分もわずかだがギターの音が追加してある。
他の収録アーティストでは、私の知らないバンドが多いのだが、EchoBellyの清々しいボーカルと演奏が気に入っている。

イギリスで行われたSound City Music Festival '96に出演したバンドを収録したライブ・アルバム。1996年Leedsで開催され、 60ft Dollsを初めOcean Colour Scene、Cardigansなどそれぞれ個性のあるアーティストが集まった。当日の模様はBBCのRadio Oneで放送された。
60ft Dollsは1996年5月に発売されたシングル「Talk To Me」が収録されている。
オン・エアーされたのは4月9日。スタジオ・バージョンよりもラフだが、勢いのある演奏が聴ける。もっとたくさんのライブを聴きたい。
ほかの収録アーティストでは、Ocean Colour SceneのMODな演奏もいいし、Cardigansのカッティング・ギターの切れ味が抜群。 Castのバラードもなかなか聴かせる。AudiowebがThe Clashの「Bankrobber」をカバーしている。

1995年頃から再評価が高まったSmall Facesのトリビュート盤。この頃Small FacesはCDボックスセット・リリースやリイシューなどが相次ぎ、The Whoのリイシュー などと合わせて、巷ではちょっとしたモッズ・ブームだった。
Small Facesは60ft Dollsの3人にとってもフェイバリットなグループで、 7曲目「The Universal」をカバーしている。
この曲はSmall Faces 13枚目のシングルとして1968年4月28日に発売され、 UKチャート16位になった「The Universal c/w Donkey Rides, A penny, A Glass」 （Immidiate IM069）。もともとが地味な曲だが、Boo RadleysのMartin Carrを迎え、ほぼ原曲と同じアレンジでカバーしている。アコースティックかつブルージーな味わいが良い。しかし、Singles「Afterglow」の所でも触れたように、60ft Dollsはこのトリビュート盤の参加に際し、この曲ではなく 「Afterglow」で参加を予定していたのでは無いだろうか？
他のアーティストでは、Small FacesのドラマーKenny Jonesが参加したトラック、 Ocean Color SceneやRideも良いが、一番聴いたのはGeneとPrimal Screamだった。個人的にはいろいろあるトリビュート盤のなかで、「If We Were Carpenter」 （カーペンターズ・トリビュート）と並んで良く出来たアルバムだと思う （トリビュート盤てつまらないの多いんだよね）。アルバムの計画発表当時はOasisが参加予定だったが結局不参加。

1998年の60ft Dolls解散後、リチャード・パーフィットはニューポートのパブ「Le pub」で演奏を見たTerris（すでに解散）というバンドの マネージメントをしたりしていたが、2002年ついにソロアルバムをリリースした。60ft Dollsのドラマーだったカールも参加。プロデュースはリチャード本人と60ft Dollsでシングルのカップリング曲などを プロデュースしていたリチャード・ジャクソン。
アルバムはアコースティック・ギター、時折響くパーカッションとキーボードの演奏にリチャードの歌だけで作られたナンバー「Downtown」で始まる。 この曲がアルバムのトーンを象徴しているよう。 落ちついたアコースティックな曲が多く、チェロが使われ「Summergliding」、「Wish I Was With You」、 ラストの「I Took That Woman Home Last Night」までアコースティックだが、明るくならない少し陰りのある曲が並んでいる。
旧友カールの小気味いいドラムにリチャード・ジャクソンのスライドギターが重なる「Stone Honey」はミディアムなロックンロール。 ハーモニカが印象的だ。 イントロでは捻じれたギターが健在のアルバムタイトル「Highlights In Slow Motion」。この曲でもカールのドラミングが聴けるが、 やはり暴走ナンバーではなく、チェロとアコースティック・ギター中心のアレンジ。 レイモンド・カーヴァーの短編小説にインスパイアされたという「What We Talk About」はブギーな曲にホーンが導入されていて、 アルバムの中ではきらびやかな印象。 再びリチャード・ジャクソンのスライドギターが雰囲気を作る「Let Love In」は優しげなバラード。 アコースティックとエレクトリックの対比が美しい「Morning Star」。 スモール・フェイセスのトリビュート盤で演奏していた「ユニバーサル」を髣髴とさせる素朴な感じの「Freckles of Gold」。
歌詞カードがないので歌詩の内容がわからないのは残念だ。 少し落ちつくには早いんじゃないの？パーフィット、と言いたくなる内容。 やはりバンドの時のようなマジカルな輝きは失われているか。

かつて西新宿で見つけたブートVHS。1997年1月25日『brat shows』と題されたロンドン・アストリアでのライヴを撮影したビデオ。画質・音質ともに悪し、とても他人には薦められない、ステージに向かって左側の客席からのオーディエス・ワンカメラ撮影。
ジャケットも紙にカラーコピー（US版『The Big 3』のジャケと同じ写真）しただけで曲目の表示もなし。収録時間は約32分。
