PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Driving Question: How can community health workers create healthier and more empowered communities?
Project Health Domains: Determinants of Health: Students will be analyzing economic policy and how it impacts our health. Systems: Students will be developing new systems to support our community to be healthier.
Project Problem + Purpose:
Why are people in New Mexico not as healthy as they could be? What shapes health? How can preventative health practices change our health as New Mexicans?
Purpose: To identify community health issues. To provide awareness on best practices regarding health. Identify resources in the community for people to access.
Community Partners + Engagement: First Choice Community Health Clinic, Central New Mexico Community Health Workers, Bernalillo County Health Council
