Driving Question: How can we connect with other members in our community through developing our English and Spanish language skills?
Project Health Domains: Systems, Health Determinants
Project Problem + Purpose: The state of New Mexico is a world language melting pot. New Mexico is also the only state in the union with two official languages: English, Spanish. The purpose of our project is to develop our English and Spanish grammar skills and enhance our bilingual conversation skills using health terms to help students communicate and understand terminology during a world wide pandemic.
Community Partners + Engagement: We would like to thank the all of the members and staff of the South Valley Senior Center. Before the COVID-19 shutdown our students were going to document their learning experience with the Senior Citizens through making tin art and customizing ceramic castings.
