Hindi Poem Read by Daaji English Translation

 
Here's the translation of the poem:

Krishna and Radha were wandering in heaven

Suddenly, they came face to face

Krishna was surprised,

Radha smiled gently...

Before Krishna could say anything,

Radha spoke up 💬 -

"How are you, Dwarkadheesh?"

The address "Kanha" that Radha used to call him with,

The mention of "Dwarkadheesh" from her mouth wounded Krishna deeply inside

Still, somehow, he composed himself

And said to Radha...

"I am still Kanha for you today,

Don't call me Dwarkadheesh!

Come, let's sit down...

Let me say something,

Let you say something of your own

Truth be told, Radha,

Whenever I remembered you,

Tears welled up in these eyes..."

Radha said -

"Nothing like that happened with me,

Neither did I remember you nor shed any tears,

Because how could I ever forget you to remember?

You always remained in these eyes,

Never to leave with tears,

That's why I never cried.

Upon separation in love, what did you lose?

Shall I show you a mirror of this?

Have you ever thought how backward you have become in this progress?

Starting life with the sweet water of Yamuna and reaching the salty waters of the ocean?

You trusted the Sudarshan Chakra on one finger,

And

Forgot the flute that was played on ten fingers?

Kanha, when you were connected in love...

The finger that lifted the Govardhan mountain to save people from destruction,

Upon separation in love, that same finger

Started showing various colors?

Lifting the Sudarshan Chakra for the work of destruction?

Kanha and Dwarkadheesh,

What difference shall I tell you?

If you were Kanha, you would visit Sudama's home

Sudama would not visit your home

There lies the difference in war and love,

In war, you conquer by destroying,

And in love, you conquer by surrendering.

Kanha, a man immersed in love,

Can be sad,

But does not cause anyone pain.

You are the master of many arts,

A seer beyond dreams,

The giver of scriptures like the Gita.

But what decision did you make,

Handing over your entire army to the Kauravas?

And aligning yourself with the Pandavas?

The army was your subjects,

A king resides in a palace,

With his protector.

You, the great sage,

Were driving the chariot on which Arjuna sat,

You were killing your own subjects,

Seeing your subjects die,

Did no compassion arise in you?

Because you had become void of love.

Even today, go to Earth

You will keep searching for

Your Dwarkadheesh-like image

In every house, every temple,

You will come across standing with me

Even today, I believe

People talk about the knowledge of the Gita,

They talk about its importance

But the people of Earth

Do not rely on the war-oriented Dwarkadheesh, i.e.

They rely on the love-oriented Kanha

My name is nowhere near in the Gita,

But even today, people say "Radhe Radhe" at its conclusion...

While roaming in heaven, a distraught Krishna and a delighted Radha
suddenly came face to face …
 

Krishna was startled, Radha smiled,
before Krishna could say anything Radha spoke 

How are you Dwarkadheesh ( O king of Dwaraka)?  

 
The name of Dwarkadheesh from the mouth of Radha who used to call him Kanha Kanha
hurt Krishna deeply,
yet he somehow managed to control himself 

And he said to Radha…
I am still Krishna for you,
so don't call me Dwarkadish! 

Come let's sit...
I will say something of mine and you say something of yours 

To tell you the truth Radha, whenever I remembered you,
tears would roll down from my eyes 

Radha said, nothing like this happened to me,
neither did I remember you nor did I shed any tears
because I had never forgotten you
that I would remember you. 

You were always in my eyes, I never cried because I was afraid
you would go away with my tears
 

 
Should I show you a mirror of what you lost when your love separated ? 

Some bitter truths, should I tell you if you can hear the question? 

Have you ever thought how much you have lagged behind in this progress? You
started your life from the sweet water of Yamuna
and reached the salty water of the sea? 

 
You believed in the Sudarshan Chakra that works on one finger and forgot the flute
that works on all ten fingers ?
 

Kanha, when you were connected with love then…
the same finger which used to save people from destruction by lifting Govardhan mountain,
when separated from love,
started showing all kinds of colours,
started lifting Sudarshan Chakra and used for destruction 

 
What is the difference between Kanha and Dwarkadhish? Should I tell you
, if you were Kanha, you would have gone to Sudama's house,
Sudama would not have come to your house? 

This is the difference between war and love.
In war you win by destroying others
and in love you win by getting destroyed.
Kanha, a man immersed in love
may remain unhappy,
but he does not cause pain to anyone. 

You are the master of many arts,
a visionary and
the giver of a book like Geeta 

But what decision did you make
? You handed over your entire army to the Kauravas
and aligned yourself with the Pandavas.
The army was your subjects.
The king is
the protector of the king. 

A great scholar like you
was driving the chariot on which Arjun was sitting and
killing your own subjects. You did not feel any compassion
on seeing your subjects dying.
 

because you were void of love 

Even today, go to the earth and see, you will keep searching
for your Dwarkadheesh image, you will find me standing with you
in every house and every temple
 

Even today I believe that
people talk about the knowledge of the Gita and
its importance. 

But the people of the earth do not believe
in the warlike Dwarkadheesh but in the loving Kanha . My name is not even mentioned in the Gita but even today people believe in its conclusion.


 

we say "Radhey Radhey" 

एक बार स्वर्ग में विचरण करते राधा और कृष्ण एक दूसरे के सामने आ गए ,राधा के मुख पर अद्भुत प्रसन्नता दिखाई पड़ रही थी और श्रीकृष्ण विचलित से ,राधा मुस्कुराई और बोली - कैसे हो द्वारकाधीश ?  

जो राधा उन्हें कान्हा - कान्हा कह कर पुकारती थी वही राधा उन्हें आज द्वारकाधीश पुकार रही थी 

राधा का यह संबोधन कृष्ण को भीतर तक घायल कर गया फिर भी किसी तरह अपने आप को संभाल कर, बोले  राधे - मैं आज भी तुम्हारे लिए वही कान्हा हूं तुम तो मुझे द्वारकाधीश मत बुलाओ !  

राधा फिर से मुस्कुराई...  

आओ बैठते हैं कुछ मैं अपनी सुनाता हूं कुछ तुम अपनी सुनाना!  सच कहूं  राधे! जब - जब भी तुम्हारी याद आई आंखों से आंसू निकल आते थे।  

राधा बोली..  

मेरे साथ ऐसा कभी नहीं हुआ, न तुम्हारी याद आयी,  न आंखों से आंसू निकले 

क्योंकि हम तुम्हें भूले ही कब थे ,जो तुम्हारी याद आती। मेरी आंखों में सदा तुम ही बसते थे ,कहीं इन आंसुओं के साथ तुम भी न निकल जाओ  इसलिए कभी रोते भी ना थे।   

 कान्हा प्रेम से अलग होकर तुमने क्या खोया! इसका आईना दिखाऊं मैं तुम्हें ?  

 कुछ कड़वे प्रश्न सुन सकते हो तो  पूछूं तुमसे ? 

 याद है कान्हा! यमुना के मीठे जल से जिंदगी की शुरुआत की और आज तुम समुद्र के खारे पानी तक पहुंच गए।  

 एक उंगली पर चलने वाले सुदर्शन चक्र पर भरोसा कर दसों उंगलियों पर चलने वाली बांसुरी को भूल गए! 

कान्हा! जब तुम प्रेम से जुड़े थे तो जो उंगली गोवर्धन पर्वत उठाकर लोगों को विनाश से बचाती थी  प्रेम से अलग होने पर वही उंगली क्या क्या रंग दिखाने लगी !सुदर्शन चक्र उठाकर विनाश के काम आने लगी, कान्हा और द्वारकाधीश में यही तो अंतर है ,अगर तुम कान्हा होते तो तुम सुदामा के घर जाते, सुदामा तुम्हारे घर नहीं आता!  

आप तो कई कलाओं के स्वामी हो, गीता जैसे  महान ग्रंथ के दाता हो पर आपने ऐसा निर्णय क्यों लिया आपने अपनी पूरी सेना कौरवों को सौंप दी और स्वयं पांडवों का साथ दिया। सेना तो आपकी प्रजा थी और आप राजा , राजा तो  प्रजा पालक होता है ,उसका रक्षक होता है  लेकिन आप जैसा महाज्ञानी उस रथ को चला रहे थे जिस पर बैठा अर्जुन आप ही की प्रजा को मार रहा था  अपनी प्रजा को मरते देख आप में  करुणा नहीं  जागी क्यों???  

क्योंकि आप प्रेम से अलग हो चुके थे !  

मैं जानती हूं ,कान्हा ! कि लोग गीता के ज्ञान की बातें करते हैं पर धरती  के लोग युद्ध वाले द्वारकाधीश पर नहीं प्रेम वाले कान्हा पर भरोसा करते है। 

आज भी धरती पर आपकी द्वारकाधीश वाली छवि को ढूंढते रह जाओगे हर जगह, हर मंदिर में मेरे साथ ही खड़े नजर आओगे , गीता में मेरा दूर-दूर तक नाम नहीं पर आज भी लोग उस के समापन पर राधे-राधे...कहते हैं क्यों? ?  

सही कहा है कि छोटी सी एक उंगली से गोवर्धन पर्वत उठाने वाले भगवान श्री कृष्ण छोटी सी बांसुरी को दोनों हाथों से पकड़ते हैं !  

श्री कृष्ण की पास कभी किसी प्रश्न का उत्तर ना हो ऐसा  तो हो ही नहीं सकता परंतु फिर भी राधा द्वारा  लगे प्रश्न चिन्हों पर कान्हा  मौन रहे क्यों ?
