इन्द्रियाणि पराण्याहुरिन्द्रियेभ्यः परं मनः।

indriyāṇi parāṇyāhurindriyebhyaḥ paraṁ manaḥ,
manasastu parā buddhiryo buddheḥ paratastu saḥ. (42)

The senses are said to be greater (subtler) than the body, but greater (subtler) than the senses is the mind. Greater (subtler) than the mind is the intellect, and that which is greatest (subtlest) than the intellect is the Self.
