Mula the root; Adhara support;for the muladhara is the root of the Susumna and than on which Kundalini rests.
Muladhara is a triangular space in midportion of the body with the apex turned downwards
It is described as red lotus of four petals, situated between the base of the sexual organ and anus.
Earth evolved from water is the tatva of the chakra.
On the four petals four varnas vam sam ssham sham are the four forms of bliss yoga nanda , paramananda sahajananda virananda.
In the center of this lotus is Svayambhu linga ruddy brown, like the color of a young leaf.
Citrini-nadi is figured as a tube and the opening at its end at the base of the linga is called the door of brahman through which the Devi ascends.
The lotus, linga and brahma-dvara hang downwards.
The devi kundalini more subtle than the fibre of the lotus and luminous as lightning, lies asleep coiled like a serpent around the linga and closes with Her body the door of Brahman.
The Devi has forms in the brahmanda. Her sublest form in the pindanda or body is called Kundalini, a form of Prakriti pervading supporting and expressed in the form of whole universe.
A red fiery triangle sourrounds svayambhu-linga and within the triangle is the red Kandrapa vayu or air of Kama or form of the apana vayu for here is the seat of creative desire.
Outside the triangle is a yellow square called the prithvi(earth) mandala to which is attached the eight thurders(asta vajra).
Here is the bija "LAM" and with it prithvi on the back of an elephant. Here also are Brahma and Savitri and red four handed Sakti Dakini.
Swadhisthana Chakra – six petals – ब भ म य र ल (with bindu, white lightning color)
SVADHISTHANA
SvadhiWlana is a six-petalled lotus at the base of the sexual organ, above muladhara and below the navel. Its pericarp is red, and its petals are like lightning. " Water " evolved from " fire " is the Tattva of this cakra. The varrias on the petals are "barn", "bharri ", "rnarp", "yam.", "ram", and "lam". In the six petals are also the vrttis (state; qualities, functions or inclinations) —namely, pragraya (credulity) a-vMvasa (suspicion, mistrust), avajna (disdain), rnurchcha (delusion, or, as some say, disinclination), sarva-nMa (false knowledge),1 and krurata (pitiless-ness). Within a semicircular space in the pericarp are the Devata, the dark blue Mahavigm, MahalaMmi, and Saraswati. In front is the blue four-handed Rakini Sakti, and the bija of Varuna, Lord of water or " vam ". Inside the bija there is the region of Varuna, of the shape of an half-moon, and in it is Varurja himself seated on a white alligator (makara).
Svadhisthana is the six-petalled lotus (chakra) located at the base of the genital organ.
Svadhisthana means one’s own place and therefore this chakra represents the seat of the self.
One who meditates on this chakra destroys internal enemies like ego and arrogance.
Svadhisthana chakra is located at the base of the genital organ and above the four-petalled Muladhara chakra. The Svadhisthana chakra has six petals and is tied (braided) to the Chitrini Nadi, which in turn resides within the Sushumna Nadi.
Note that in modern images of hue-colored chakras, the Svadhisthana chakra is shown in orange color. However, the original Sanskrit verse in Sat Chakra Nirupana specifies that the color of Svadhisthana chakra is Sindooram, a traditional vermilion red or orange-red color. The letters bam, bham, mam, yam, ram, and lam appear on the six petals of the lotus in a shining silver color.
Within the Svadhisthana chakra is the clear and soft water element (Varun). Its bija mantra is Vam (pronounced Vum), which is bright like the autumn moon and carries a crescent moon on its head. The Vam bija mantra is said to ride on a crocodile (makara), which is also the vehicle of Varun.
In the lap of the Svadhisthana chakra lies the youthful Vishnu with four arms. Shiny blue skin and yellow clothes adorn his form, as well as the celebrated jewel at his center (kaustubha mani).
Devi Rakini, also known as Lakshmi, sits to Vishnu's left with superior weapons adorning her four hands, wearing divine ornaments and clad in celestial clothes. Rakini is depicted in an ecstatic state of mind (matchitta).
It is said that one who meditates on the Svadhisthana chakra destroys internal enemies like ego and arrogance, becoming a Yogisha or master of yoga. He who meditates on the Svadhisthana chakra dispels the darkness of illusion, shines like the bright sun and gains mastery over speech.
