Siddhanath Mandir

वास्तुकला की दृष्टि से यह काफी प्रभावशाली मंदिर है। इस मंदिर को ब्रिटिश लोर्ड कर्जन द्वारा संरक्षित स्मारक घोषित किया गया था। यह द्वीप के पठारी भाग में स्थित है। इसे एक विशाल चबूतरे से आधार दिया गया है जिसके चारों ओर विभिन्न मुद्राओं में बहुत से हाथियों की मूर्तियां गढ़ी गई हैं। मंदिर के अंदर जाने के लिए चारों से प्रवेश की व्यवस्था है और साथ ही एक भव्य सभामंडप भी बना हुआ है। हर सभामंडप में 14 फुट ऊंचाई के 18 खम्भे हैं, जो कि पत्थर से बने हुए हैं और उन पर सुन्दर कलाकृतियों बनाई हुई है। जब यह मंदिर अपने सही रूप में होगी तो बहुत ही भव्य और खूबसूरत होगा। किवदंती है कि मुगल शासक ओरंगजेब ने खजाने की खोज में इस मंदिर में स्थि​त हाथीयो की सुंड खण्डीत की थी।

Architecturally, it is a very impressive temple. The temple was declared a protected monument by the British Lord Curzon. It is located in the plateau of the island. It is grounded with a huge platform around which many elephant statues in various postures have been carved. There is an arrangement of entry to all the four to go inside the temple and a grand hall is also built. Each sabhamandapa has 18 pillars of 14 feet height, which are made of stone and have beautiful artifacts on them. When this temple is in its right form, it will be very grand and beautiful. Legend has it that the Mughal ruler Orangzeb had discovered the elephant elephants located in this temple in search of treasure.
