Unit 3:
Annihilation (2018) by Alex Garland. I saw this art film and loved it when it came out, so we analysed it last year and it was a great success. It's a film that's easy to get into that has alot of philosophical and metaphorical ideas that surface as the film progresses. It is also excellent to look at for representations of women in modern cinema.
Memento (2001) Christopher Nolan. Classic non-linear narrative film that definitely hits the target on many curriculum points including changes in styles, like noir.
