2020 Production work Sample

I thought it might be helpful to brainstorm some individual production ideas for each of the MPA courses to prepare for the possibility of students working from home.

Year 8:

Film posters – Photoshop / canva

Year 9:

Podcasts – Adobe Audition / garage band

Year 10:

iPhone / iPad / mobile cinematography – download the app Musemage to learn iso, aperture etc.

11 General

Radio current affairs

Comics

12 General

Magazine cover

Film promotional material across platforms/social media

11 ATAR

Video diary/audition video for reality TV show

Performance/non-narrative music video

Photo-journalism

TV news or online news story

12 ATAR

Photo manipulation series communicating a theme or mood

Self-reflexive documentary

Web-cam video interviews to document personal context

Animation

Video commentary documenting the reporting of world events

Bonus points for linking the ideas to technologies that all students can access.

The first one you could use with Year9/10 or even 11 really, and is about using social media for cross-platform promotions... a task they could all do in their own homes. You can find it athttps://hollymalpas.wixsite.com/cross-promotions

The other is a bit of a quick intro investigation into Unit 3/ Auteurs, moving from Year 11 pop-culture into Year 12 Art Films, as I think I used to use it in term 4 after the Year 11 exams finished but they were still in class.
