Year 7
Happiness Photo Journal
Today you will be doing a practical photo taking activity.
You will need to send through your photos 10mins before the end of the lesson.
I would like you to take your laptop or phone around the house and take photos using 6 different camera angles that bring happiness and joy to your life.
It can be a physical materialistic thing, or a person or a pet or nature.
I would like us to share the photos towards the end of the lesson and discuss why we find happiness in the items we have taken pictures of.

PRACTICAL PHOTOGRAPHY ACTIVITY Let's move away from the laptop and get up and about!
10 OF ONE.
Take 10 unique and/or abstract photographs of 1 small subject.
Have a look below at this water bottle example.
Share your best images with the group in Teams. Do not be afraid to move around the room and aim at different angles.
Good luck! I cannot wait to see what you come up with today.
Hello everyone,
Love seeing the ideas that get thrown around in this group.
We have our Year 6 Transition Day coming up soon and need a quick 45-minute (or thereabouts) activity to show them the kind of stuff they can do in Media.
In previous years we've made a thaumatrope to show them how animation works, which was good because they could take it home too, but we're just on the lookout for some new, simple ideas. We have class sets of cameras but editing footage might be a bit of a stretch in that time period.
Any tips greatly appreciated.

Hi Glenn
I normally do a quick stop motion task using iPads if the kids have them (groups of 2 or 3). Stop Motion Studio is pretty simple to use and also free.
I normally have a bunch of small sets set-up and get the kids to make an animation on a broad theme such as "Travelling" with whatever they have at hand.
I have used like putty before, but i find that gets to be a bit distracting with some kids.
Hope that helps.
