I am on the hunt for some engaging short films (preferably local) to show my Year 12 General students.

A few that I can think of off the top of my head -

Judas Collar - Ali James’ film about camels, a pretty unique narrative (local)

Miracle Fish - This was Oscar nominated from memory

The Saviour - Pete Templeman’s oscar nominated short (sort of local)

The Wall - Tropfest short, was a stimulus film at one stage

Shiny - Tropfest winner (some people as Miracle Fish and Spider)

Crosshairs - Great example of building tension in a single location film (local)

We Were Here - David Vincent Smith (local)

George Jones and the Giant Squid - Same team as This is Perth

There are of course tonnes of them out there.
