Norm Speaking Responses Based on Grade Band using Scoring Guides and Rubric
NOTE: Be mindful of the ‘ramping up’ of prompt complexity in ‘cycles’ of 4 prompts.
Emerging>Transitioning>Expanding>Commanding: rubric changes for each level.
Skipping Rule: For No Response (See DFA). Code with “S” in the Scoring Sheet box

TIPS:
Make sure all materials (listed on folder inside cover) are in the folder upon return.
Use a pen and “dot” left of the student name once completed proctoring Speaking.
Complete the biographical info at the top of each paper on the Scoring Sheet.
Maintain completed Scoring Sheets in ABC order in the folder.
Always remember to pay attention to the prompt level on the Scoring Sheet/Rubric!
Remember to provide “wait time” to allow the student to formulate an English response.
