Hour of AI is a national and global campaign helping schools introduce students to artificial intelligence in a fun, approachable way!
Select first through fourth grade students participated in Spring 2012 South Bronx Gardeners Program. Participants:
1. Explored the plant and animal life in the school garden.
2. Used a science notebook to write and draw their observations.
3. Investigated plant physical properties and characteristics.
4. Developed a movie about gardening skills, using the following skills: photographs, drawings, writing descriptions, video, and audio.
5. Presented their garden videos to other individuals.

2. Administrative Stuff (that's a big word, huh!)
A. Review the different film crews (groups). Make sure you have a folder. Write your video camera number on the folder.

4. Exploring the Garden!

C. We will learn about garden tools, such as the hoe, cultivator, trowel, rake, wheel barrow, hose, weeder, sprinkler.
D. Plant/Transplant in the garden.
E. We will record movies while we are in the garden. Remember your roles and movie making skills!

Each film crew will have a baskets for materials. Each of YOU will be responsible for your materials inside the school and outside in the garden.

Tomorrow is the last day for the South Bronx Gardeners Program for this year. We will celebrate by cooking together. We will harvest plants from the garden to add to our meal.
