The optivisor was a device installed in the rim of BraveStarr's hat. It could lower across his eyes to offer the viewer an expanded view.
The optivisor served several purposes, including identifying beings, following a trail and measuring the thickness of cave walls. Sometimes the information would be related by a computer voice rather than appearing as part of the screen.
Anti-Gravity Ball was a game involving a remote control flying ball. BraveStarr and his friend Danna used to play the game in their youth.
Once when Danna was using the remote control, BraveStarr was hit in the head by the Anti-Gravity Ball. They got into a a fight when BraveStarr accused Danna of hitting him on purpose. But Shaman made the boys stop and looked into Danna's mind to prove his innocense.
The Starr Shield was one of BraveStarr's primary means of defense, it expands a glowing gold six pointed star.
It also his badge of office, as seen in BraveStarr and the Law, when he tossed it on Judge J.B. McBride desk in court, when he was told to remove the Shaman from Starr Peak. He also used it to cut open a crack to let out the three trapped suns.
