"Two faced" Dingo Dan was one of Tex's coyotes with a notionally Aussie accent. Dan is a master of disguise with the ability to take on a human appearance but would often forget to change his distinctive "fancy hat." And he is also known as determined, il-tempered, negative, grouchy, obstinate, diligent, aggressive, naughty, testy, witty, observant, funny, accountable, cantankerous, efficient and demented.
Dingo Dan was captured after a failed attempt to rob the Stratocoach as part of the Dune Buggy Gang. But when Deputy Fuzz was left to guard the jail cel on his own, Dingo used his shapeshifting talent to appear to be a drunk man who was scheduled to leave the cel after sobering up.
With BraveStarr and Thirty/Thirty out of town, Dan immediately began terrorizing Fort Kerium and used the new Kerium-Magnet on his dune buggy to attract not only loads of Kerium stacks from the bank, but also smaller nuggets belonging to miners and settlers. Soon Dingo even began operating his buggy by remote control.
Fuzz, who was fired by Mayor Derringer for letting Dan escape, managed to lure Dingo Dan into the Trading Post with the promise of a cool glass of Sweetwater and tricked Dan into stepping on a loose floorboard, thereby getting stuck in the floor, and being recaptured. (Shake Hands with Long Arm John)
An overweight coyote that usually leads other coyotes in the battle.
And he is also known as gluttonous, obstinate, loathsome, discourteous, tactless, obnoxious, outlandish, thoughtless, hard-working, grouchy, obsessive, lion-hearted, deadly, testy, ominous, organized, testy and hot-headed.
Together with several other Dingoes, including Barker, Goldtooth operated a hidden Spin Factory situated just beyond Stone Canyon. There they fabricated the deadly drug called Spin, which they distributed in the Stone Canyon mining camps. Many miners became addicted and quickly lost their minds because of the drugs and had to be restrained by Marshal BraveStarr back in Fort Kerium. In this state, they were known as 'Spin-Heads
A Dingo henchman who occasionally worked for Tex Hex.
And he is also known as bellicose, athletic, roguish, keen, erudite, relentless, boorish, active, rude, kooky, emotionless and relaxed. Together with several other Dingoes, including Goldtooth, Barker operated a hidden Spin Factory situated just beyond Stone Canyon. There they fabricated the deadly drug called Spin, which they distributed in the Stone Canyon mining camps. Many miners became addicted and quickly lost their minds because of the drugs and had to be restrained by Marshal BraveStarr back in Fort Kerium. In this state, they were known as 'Spin-Heads'. (The Price)
According to Barker, Spin was 'just fun, it don't hurt nobody'. It is possible that Dingoes were immune to the addictive effects of the drug, much as the Dingo Llama had found a medicine to become immune against the illness caused by the Fever Flower.
Howler was the head of a pack of Dingoes known as the Leaper Riders. They had domesticated the lizard like Leaper. Howler was known by his distinctive howl. His main base of operations was the aptly named Ambush Canyon, from which he attacked all who entered his self proclaimed territory. Even the Prairie People had to pay a price, despite the fact that Ambush Canyon lay in Prairie People Country.
Angus McBride wanted to get a story for his newspaper on Howler and convinced his daughter J.B. to take him out into the desert to take pictures. He told BraveStarr he did not need an escort, fearing his chances of spotting Howler would diminish if BraveStarr went along. But BraveStarr and Thirty/Thirty followed them after all, and came to their rescue when Howler and the Leaper Riders attacked the McBrides. They got unexpected help from members of the Forgotten Tribe of Prairie People, who popped up out of their underground hiding places and took down several Dingoes and Riders. Gup, the Mayor of the Tribe, did express concern to BraveStarr about having revealed the location of their hiding places to Howler, but BraveStarr ensured the Mayor that he would round up the entire Dingo gang.
Howler was also seen when Wild Child thought back to his time living with the Dingoes.
Dingo Llama was a Dingo mystic who lived in a cave in the Iron Mountains in the Badlands of New Texas. He was the only one who knew how to make the medicine to cure the illness brought on by the Fever Flower.
And he is also known as distant, il-tempered, negative, grouchy, obstinate, loathsome, logical, argumentative, mean and aspiring.
Like all Dingoes, Dingo Llama had an intense hatred for all the settlers who came to New Texas from other worlds. However, Dingo Llama also didn't enjoy the company of other Dingoes, and preferred to live in isolation in the Iron Mountains, which he surrounded by booby-traps to warn of any visitors.
Dealer was a drug pushing Dingo who applauded the settlers to try out a drug by the name of Spin for free, then charging three Kerium nuggets for every subsequent hit.
And he is also known as determined, relentless, unconventional, gluttonous, desperate, erudite, abrasive, logical, even-tempered, roguish, diligent, independent, naughty, grouchy and obstinate.
While most of the spin addicts, or "Spin-heads" were situated around the Stone Canyon mining camps, Dealer ventured into the outskirts of Fort Kerium and tried to introduce three school children, Jay, Brad and Daisy to try out his 'fun' drug. Of the three, only Jay fell for his scheme and soon paid for it with his life.
Dealer was arrested and ended up in the penitentiary, but only after Jay passed away.
Wild Child is known as witty, insecure, likable, determined, courteous, hard-working, imaginative, laid-back and dependable. As a baby, he wandered into the desert. His parents searched everywhere for months, but finally left New Texas, destination unkown. The baby was found in the Badlands by Dingoes and raised as one of them. He became known as "Wild Child" and developed special powers not unlike his Dingo 'family', including the ability to leap great heights and to recognize different people and species by scent. (Wild Child) Like all Dingoes, Wild Child was given a special medicine at a young age by the Dingo Llama to make him imune against the illness of the Fever Flower.
Wild Child's existence was first noticed by old Zeke when he was fleeing from a pack of Dingoes. This prompted Marshal BraveStarr, Thirty/Thirty and Judge J.B. McBride to head into the Badlands. Fleeing after a skirmish with a pack of Dingoes, Wild Child's Turbo-Mule crashed and he was injured and left behind by his pack (as was their way). When Judge J.B. expressed kindness for the child, Wild Child began to mellow towards her and referring to her as 'Good Lady'.
The Dingoes' trail led through a tunnel and straigh towards The Lost City, where they were confronted by the last of the Old Ones, Zarko the Hunter, a mysterious figure with whom Wild Child was already familiar. Zarko intended to hunt down all the intruders except for Wild Child, because of his young age and brave nature. During a tense confrontation BraveStarr finally managed to convince Zarko that violence was not the way to live. Zarko decided to take care of Wild Child and soon adopted him.
Wild Child attended school in Fort Kerium, where he found himself being teased about his Dingo upbringing by classmates Brian and Clorg. But when the entire town population save BraveStarr and Wild Child was struck down by the pollen of the Fever Flower, they had to plead with the Dingo Llama to grant them his medicine.
