Blind Citadel

After a short debrief, the Resistance deployed in two groups, one for each side of the map. The Market Area was heavily defended by Combine units, but after some intense fighting, the Resistance managed to secure the area. All units were instructed to group up between E and F, inside a building with sewer access. The first group arrived and went down into the sewers first to set up the Remote Access Panel, along side supporting equipment. The second group arrived shortly afterwards at the objective, ready to defend. The Spectre Unit Puro, equipped with a Decoder, assisted Lieutenant General Carnius with the equipment. Resistance Fighter RadioMan made sure that no counter-hacking measures were being done, disallowing any files from being corrupted on the way.

The first two minutes were calm, no Combine activity in the sewers. However, a small mistake in the Decoder Software code alerted the Combine, revealing the rebels' location and objective. A few seconds later, the Resistance was overrun by Combine units, losing their defensive position. While the Combine were attempting to fully retrieve the equipment, the Resistance managed to get the position back and held it for the remaining time.

After a short celebration, the Resistance uploaded the stolen data to the Field Manual Database, confirming its contents:

With no time to celebrate, high-heat signatures were detected around the objective. Bombs were planted in the sewers, with several exists blocked by Combine structures. In a rush, the Resistance force moved out of the sewers, through a long and arduous path. The bombs started to detonate and debris fell down. Debris was blocking part of the path, so it had to be destroyed with crowbars and explosives. Right near the end, a MACE unit ambushed the Resistance army, killing several. Luckily, a Resistance Medic survived and managed to get everyone back up again.

All Resistance units bunkered down in the Leadership office, waiting for the explosions to finish. With the last explosion going off in the distance, the Resistance celebrated their victory and their spoils!
