Rainbow Welfare Society proudly launched #আগমনী24, continuing our heartfelt tradition of distributing new clothes to children in underserved villages during the festive season. For the past three years, this initiative has brought light to places often overlooked, guided by the belief: “নয়নের দৃষ্টি হতে ঘুচবে কালো, যেখানে পড়বে সেথায় দেখবে আলো।”
This year, our preparations began with village visits to measure children for clothing, followed by careful procurement and packaging. Simultaneously, our team collaborated with the TANAYAS group to set up the Rupang Dehi exhibition, where generous donors contributed old but reusable clothes as well as new clothes.
Amidst the whirlwind of logistics, we received an extraordinary message from renowned singer Snigdhajit Bhowmik—he would be joining us in person. We kept this news under wraps to surprise our community. On the day of the event, the atmosphere was electric. Snigdhajit was welcomed with flowers and warm embraces, and his presence transformed the day into something magical. We began with clothing distribution in a nearby village, followed by our annual community lunch at Goai, where children, volunteers, and supporters gathered in celebration.
The afternoon unfolded into a soulful musical experience as Snigdhajit da performed live without any instruments—just his voice, filling the air with emotion and unity. Later, we distributed clothes to Goai’s residential children and hosted a Rainbow family meet-up, strengthening bonds and sharing stories.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Snigdhajit Bhowmik for his time and generosity, to our field volunteers who worked tirelessly from the day before, to the TANAYAS group for donating an exhibition stall and clothing, and to our well-wishers who stand by us year-round. Special thanks to Writabrata Das, our new Media Lead, for capturing the essence of the day.
