The project Uttap came organically to the minds of Bengal Help Club members as they begin to see the economic distress caused by Covid related lockdown in the state of West Bengal. They surveyed the villages around Katwa to gauge the impact, the names of Balarampur-Bankapasi sprang up; two villages with extreme level of poverty and untouched social betterment. The common consensus was to distribute warm clothes for upcoming winter season among the youngest and oldest generation. The agenda became appealing to the support members and that helped aids for women of these villages as well. With this enthusiasm, the members distributed about forty eight jackets to the kids of these locality as well as thirty nine pullover warmer for the elderly. The forty ladies were also provided with chador shawl and a greeting smile. The members were amassed by the beaming smile of the villagers, coming out of the comforts of winter wear in a dusky winter sunset, a familiar site in the rural Bengal. A satisfaction few things can match.
