Cleaning is the main basic need for all human beings and it is necessary for daily routine process. Traditionally, the cleaning processes are done by the manual method. Since the world is tremendously transforming toward more technologically advanced, we discover new technology in our day-to-day life. There are various advanced technologies that becoming more popular and regular practice in daily life such as cleaning method using machine. These advanced technologies provides more efficiency and non-hazardous cleaning method. The intention of this mechanical engineering project is to fabricate a semi-automatic metal scrap cleaner machine. The semi-automatic metal scrap cleaner machine is designed to clean the metal scraps produced by the lathe machines on the floor of the workshop. The uses of this machine are to help humans to clean the metal scraps in easier way and to reduce the humans effort to clean the metal scraps without using broomstick which uses a lot of human effort and time. This cleaner is operated in two methods, electrically and manually, thus called semi-automated machine. Other than cleaning the metal scraps, this machine finds its applications in the area of agriculture and home utilities such as sweeping the floor or collecting the dried grains. Since it is electrically operated at the brushing part, it can reduces the efforts of human in cleaning processes.
