This research is carried out to design a rumbia’s trees fiber reinfored as insulated ceiling for residential. In the past two decades, natural fibers have received attention as a substitute for synthetic fiber amplifiers, such as glass fiber in the polymer, jute etc. Advantages of natural fiber is that it can reduce costs as it is widely available, low density, the strength that can be adopted, and can be renewed for recycling without affecting the environment. From the resulting output data, it appears that rumbia’s trees fiber is suitable for residential ceiling insulation because good water absorption rate and good density. In this study plays an important role as both these factors can influence the outcome of experimental data obtained. Hence the rumbia’s trees fiber ceiling insulation is able to compete with other insulation ceiling.
