PRIVACY POLICY — DRINK ATLAS

This Privacy Policy applies to the Drink Atlas application ("Application"), a browsable index of drink recipe menus.
SHORT VERSION
Drink Atlas doesn't require an account and doesn't save anything permanently. The only thing it stores is a temporary flag, cleared automatically, tracking whether you've unlocked menu categories by watching an ad.
1. WHAT THIS APP DOES
Drink Atlas is a home screen linking out to a collection of drink recipe menus — including coffee classics, teas, world drinks, healthy drinks, fruit shakes, chocolate drinks, and milk drinks. Some menu categories are gated behind a short "watch an ad to unlock" flow that opens them for 30 minutes. The app also includes two lightweight games: a spin-the-wheel that picks a random menu to explore, and a drink trivia quiz that tests your knowledge of where different drinks originate.
2. INFORMATION STORED BY THE APP
The only information Drink Atlas stores locally is a temporary unlock timestamp (via your browser's session storage), tracking whether ad-gated menu categories are currently unlocked. This clears automatically after 30 minutes or when your browser session ends, and is not sent to us or any server we operate.
Drink Atlas does not save your trivia scores, which menus you've viewed, or any other activity between visits — nothing persists once you close the app.
3. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION
Like most web and mobile apps, basic technical information may be collected automatically when you use Drink Atlas, including:
- IP address
- Device model and operating system
- App/browser usage statistics
- Crash reports
- Date and time of use
- Features and menus accessed within the app
Drink Atlas does not collect precise location information.
4. PERSONAL INFORMATION & ACCOUNTS
Drink Atlas does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Drink Atlas may use third-party services that collect information under their own privacy policies, including:
- Google Play Services (on mobile)
- An advertising provider (e.g. Google AdMob), used for the menu-unlock feature
The rewarded-video unlock flow is served through an ad provider, which may collect information necessary to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance. On some platforms, this flow is handled through a native rewarded-ad bridge built into the app.
6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be disclosed only:
- When required by law
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the app provider
- To trusted service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. ad or analytics providers), and only for the automatically collected technical information described in Section 3
7. DATA RETENTION
The temporary unlock flag exists only for the current browser session and is cleared automatically after 30 minutes or when you close the app — nothing else is retained locally. Automatically collected technical information (Section 3) may be retained only as long as necessary for analytics, security, legal compliance, and service improvement.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Drink Atlas features non-alcoholic beverages and is not specifically restricted to adults, but is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover personal information from a child has been collected, it will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible.
9. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to help protect information handled by the app. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.
10. YOUR CHOICES
Because Drink Atlas doesn't retain personal data between sessions, there's nothing to delete beyond closing the app or clearing your browser's session data. You can uninstall the app at any time to stop all data collection entirely.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of Drink Atlas after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. YOUR CONSENT
By using Drink Atlas, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
