PRIVACY POLICY — FURLOG — PET JOURNAL

This Privacy Policy applies to Furlog — Pet Journal ("Application"), a personal journal for tracking pet profiles, health, and daily notes.
SHORT VERSION
Furlog doesn't require an account. Your pets' profiles, photos, medical info, and journal entries live in your browser's local storage — nothing personal is sent to us to use the app.
1. WHAT THIS APP DOES
Furlog lets you create profiles for your pets — including a photo, weight, and notes (e.g. allergies, quirks) — and track their medical information (vet name and phone number, vaccinations, conditions, medications, reminders), along with journal entries logging day-to-day observations. Some sections (Notes, Training, Food, and Medical) may require unlocking, which can be done by choosing to watch a short rewarded video that unlocks them for 30 minutes.
2. INFORMATION STORED BY THE APP
The following is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage) so it persists across visits, until you clear it yourself:
Pet profiles, including name, species, breed, age, weight, birthday, notes, and photo
Medical information, including vet name and phone number, vaccinations, conditions, medications, and reminders
Journal entries you write about your pets
App settings and preferences
The following is kept only in memory while the app is open and is never saved to storage — it resets automatically whenever you close or reload the app:
Whether Notes, Training, Food, and Medical sections are temporarily unlocked (unlocks last 30 minutes after watching an ad)
None of this data — including pet photos, vet contact details, or journal notes — is sent to us or to any server we operate. Photos you upload are processed and stored entirely on your device; they are never transmitted anywhere.
3. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION
Like most web and mobile apps, basic technical information may be collected automatically when you use Furlog, including:
IP address
Device model and operating system
App/browser usage statistics
Crash reports
Date and time of use
Features accessed within the app
Furlog does not collect precise location information and does not access your device's camera or microphone directly — you choose which photo files, if any, to upload from your device.
4. PERSONAL INFORMATION & ACCOUNTS
Furlog does not require you to create an account or sign in. Any information you enter — including pet photos, vet names and phone numbers, or journal notes — is provided voluntarily by you, stored only on your device, and never transmitted to us.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Furlog may use third-party services that collect information under their own privacy policies, including:
Google Play Services
Google AdMob
The rewarded-video "Watch Ad to Unlock" flow is served through an ad provider such as AdMob, which may collect information necessary to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.
6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be disclosed only:
When required by law
To comply with legal obligations
To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the app provider
To trusted service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. ad or analytics providers)
7. DATA RETENTION
Pet profiles, medical records, photos, and journal entries remain in your browser's local storage until you delete them yourself, use the app's reset option, or clear your browser data — they are not automatically erased. Section-unlock status exists only in memory and is lost the moment the app closes or reloads. Automatically collected technical information (Section 3) may be retained only as long as necessary for analytics, security, legal compliance, and service improvement.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Furlog is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover personal information from a child has been collected, it will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible.
9. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to help protect information handled by the app. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.
10. YOUR CHOICES
You can edit or delete pet profiles, photos, medical records, and journal entries at any time within the app. Clearing your browser's local storage or uninstalling the app will remove all saved data. You can also stop all data collection by uninstalling the app (on mobile) or simply no longer visiting it (on web).
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of Furlog after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. YOUR CONSENT
By using Furlog, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
